Q-unit has operation-checking and measuring functions, which is very useful for testing, inspection, and maintenance of dental handpieces. (Controllers of air pressure, water pressure, and water volume / on-off functions of driven air, cooling water, chip air, and illumination / air-blow system to discharge residual cooling water in handpieces.)
Q-unit has 2 sensors to measure revolution and frequency. Sensor A measures from 5,000 to 999,000 rpm and from 1 to 200,000 Hz. Sensor B measures from 1 to 5,000 rpm.
Q-unit has a Type C handpiece connector conforming to the international standard ISO 9168. The connector accepts various standardized handpieces like air turbines, air motors (plus contra angles), and air scalers. The connector also attaches to handpiece manufacturer’s original couplings.
